A Merry Christmas to everyone!
Below is a brief of events you can expect in 2008.
08th March 2008
There will be a welcome party scheduled on 08 March at Mullaloo beach (near ocean reef). Its going to be a fun day filled with beach games and what better way to get to know each and everyone other than over a BBQ pit (Yes food provided!). Transportation will be provided for students from both Mt Lawley and Joondalup campuses.
Mambo Nite (TBA)
Date to be confirmed after all four university committee members meet up.
14th - 17th April 2008 (1st 4 days of the mid semester break)
Road trip to Monkey Mia
Since we are studying in WA we need to know the countryside. Imagine people back home asking you what places you visited during your time here and all you can do is stare blankly back at them... Umm.. Perth..
Monkey Mia is a stretch of beach located in the Shark Bay World Heritage region, it is about 850km north of perth and the area is famous for their wild dophins. You can feed the dophins but not allowed to touch them (They won't bite, its to protect them). Much of the world's dolphin research is done right here.
10th May 2008
There are three options for that day that were considered and hotly debated. However due to our very democratic nature, we have decided to put it up for a vote during the welcome party.
1. Paintballing
2. Adventure World
3. Go Karting
Further details will be provided as the date approachers and all events are subject to change.
